Yesterday, ex-Ohio State star Dawand Jones, who was an offensive tackle for the Buckeyes over the past few years, and currently serves as an offensive lineman for the Cleveland Browns, was asked about the Michigan football scandal regarding alleged sign-stealing. According to Jones, it was “demoralizing,” and more — here is what he had to say, per Tom Withers.

Michigan football scandal draws reaction from ex-Ohio State star

Yesterday, ex-Ohio State star Dawand Jones had some thoughts on the current Michigan football scandal into alleged illegal sign-stealing methods used by suspended staffer Connor Stalions. Jones, who was on the only two teams to get embarrassed by Michigan in recent history, had a few answers to Tom Withers’ questions.

“It’s just sad to see it,” Dawand Jones said. “We’re kids at the end of the day, and you don’t want to cheat a kid out of a chance to showcase their skills on a national level. It’s just sad to see that.”

Jones also added that Ohio State was “demoralized” seeing Michigan football lined up before the Buckeyes could even get set.

Jones also added that Ohio State knew of the Wolverines’ sign-stealing, and while the Buckeyes changed some things up, he notes that they could not change everything. “(Ohio State) made some changes but couldn’t change everything,” he said.
